Privacy Policy
Remember (“Remember,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an independently-operated service that helps you capture anything — text, voice, screenshots, links — and automatically organizes it into a private, living wiki of your life. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Remember mobile app and to our website at getremember.ai.
If you have any questions, reach us at support@getremember.ai.
1. Information we collect
Account & profile
- Sign-in details. When you create an account, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email and name from that provider (you can choose to hide your email with Apple).
- Profile. During onboarding you may provide your name, an optional date of birth, and the “intents” you select (e.g. journaling, ideas, health, lists) so we can tailor the experience.
Content you create
- Your inputs. The voice recordings, transcriptions, and text you add to Remember.
- Organized content. The memories, documents, lists, reminders, and other structured pages that Remember generates from your inputs and that you edit.
Technical information
- Authentication tokens. A session token is stored locally on your device to keep you signed in.
- Service logs. We keep operational logs of AI processing requests to run, debug, and improve the service.
- No tracking. Remember does not use third-party analytics, advertising, cross-app tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs, and we do not sell your data.
2. How we use your information
- Provide, operate, and maintain Remember.
- Transcribe your voice notes and organize your inputs into your personal wiki.
- Power search and retrieval across your own content.
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Communicate with you about the service, including important updates.
Your content is used to provide the service to you. We do not use your content to serve you advertising, and we do not sell it.
3. AI processing & third-party processors
Remember’s core feature — turning what you dump into an organized wiki — relies on trusted service providers that process your content on our behalf, solely to deliver the service. We share only what is needed for each task. These providers fall into the following categories:
| Category | Purpose | What it processes |
|---|---|---|
| Cloud infrastructure & database hosting | Securely store and serve your account and content | Account details and all of your stored content |
| AI processing providers | Transcribe, organize, and enable search over your content | Your inputs and related existing content |
| Sign-in providers (Apple, Google) | Optional authentication, if you choose to use it | Your email and name from that provider |
These providers act as our processors under contract and are not permitted to use your content to train general-purpose models or for their own advertising. We will provide more detail about a specific provider on request — email us at support@getremember.ai.
4. Data retention & deletion
Within the app you can remove a memory or document by deactivating it (a reversible soft-delete) or by deleting it permanently. We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active.
To delete your entire account and associated content, email support@getremember.ai from your account email address. We will delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records to comply with legal obligations. Some content may persist briefly in backups before being overwritten.
5. Security
We protect your data in transit with HTTPS/TLS and store it in a managed, access-controlled database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards.
6. Children
Remember is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are in the EU/EEA and under 16, you may need a parent or guardian’s consent to use Remember. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can edit most of your data directly in the app, or exercise any of these rights by emailing support@getremember.ai. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
8. International data transfers
We and our processors may store and process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers. By using Remember, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice within the app or by email. Your continued use of Remember after an update means you accept the revised policy.
